It's time for an art adventure! Challenge yourself to draw something new and unexpected -- get character art in return that may be in surprising new styles!
In a trade like this, artists post information about a character (or characters!) that they would like drawn. At the end of the sign up period, all entrants are sent a randomly selected name. Each entrant draws one of the characters that their assigned person submitted, you keep it a secret, and then on a certain day, you all exchange what you drew! Pretty cool right!? Everyone gets to have some fun, and get some cool new character art in the process.

If you do not turn your art trade piece in, you will be asked to sit out the next art trade on the RPR. Failure to turn your piece in in two art trades may lead you to be banned from the art trade. The RPR commissions replacement art when a piece is not turned in to someone who DID complete their assignment, and we don't have an infinite budget for this.
Artists are NOT required to include a background in their drawing, but you can include a suggestion with your entry, should the artist that gets your character feel up to drawing it.
Only entries drawn by you, digital or scanned, are acceptable. Please do not submit photomanipulations or images created with doll makers.
Any artist caught passing off traced or stolen artwork as their own will be banned from the trade - and any other art-based events or contests run by the RPR - for life.

Brief physical description of the character: Valian stands at 6'1" and has a kind of caramel coloured skin tone that is a little more tan due to his outdoor lifestyle. His hair is a snow white, and his eyes a teal colour. There is a diagonal scar across his face that goes from the topmost part of his bridge down along to the end of his cheek that goes under his eye. Vale is rather muscular and toned.

Brief physical description of the character: In her preferred form, Ei stands at a height of 5'3". She has shoulder-length shiny white hair, golden eyes with black sclera, and a rather happy expression on her face most of the time. Ei has relatively umber skin the colour of milk chocolate. Her form is generally thin, and she has large wings on her back most of the time that have feathers the same colour as her hair with some charcoal markings on the feather tips.

Brief physical description of the character: Lani stands at a height of 5'6" and has mid-back length extremely light lavender hued hair. Her eyes are teal, like her cousin's, and her ears are slightly longer than the typical Iliean elf ear. Like her cousin, Arulania also has relatively caramel coloured skin that is also sun kissed and tanned by activities pertaining to the outdoors. There are two small, parallel scars about a centimetre in length on either sides of her lips. When her neck, shoulders, back, and general torso are exposed, one can see the forest green tattoos she bears as well as some other scars here and there.

If you've listed more than one character, is it okay for your characters to be drawn together if the artist wants (yes or no) It's fine to draw all three together if you feel so inclined. Honestly. Vale and Ei have opposing personalities, though seem to get along decently enough. More like an annoyed brother and a hyper sister. Arulania and Valian are cousins -- they seem to have a close family relationship like actual brother and sister, and tend to work well together when their skills are put hand in hand.

They are wyvern riders, their wyverns have art on their profiles. There's also art of them, but it lacks weapons and is simple. Whoever gets me may draw them together with the wyverns, and may put saddles/reins on them. Blaze, the orange one, is female and the white one is male, named Frostbite. Female wyverns are slightly smaller than males and have smaller fleshy ruffs on their faces(both sides, like a frilled lizard), wyverns are generally the size of large horses/clydesdales. I really don't care about backgrounds and would prefer a plain one, but I will accept a medieval fantasy, Fire Emblem ish background, maybe a fort or a campsite. The weapons don't have to be included, but if they are, it's not necessary to include both types they can wield. Their profile images will be a better reference for their faces than I can draw from scratch. These two are twins, so capturing their siblingness would be nice if that makes sense.

It is! We've had some issues with people forgetting they joined when we offer long long windows for signup/execution, so we're experimenting with different lengths to see what the sweet spot is for remembering and completing.

Brief physical description of the character: Asian American, tattooed (with references on his profile) with bleached hair. Amory is fairly skinny, prone to dark colors and casual clothes like t-shirts and jeans.
Suggested environments: Modern/fantasy urban environments. Cityscapes, modern 'magical' scenarios a la fortune telling shops, seances, exorcisms.

He's also more of a traditional mage and is heavily inspired by Harry Potter-themed rps, so his clothing is a mix of modern menswear (crisp shirts, tailored pants, that sort of thing) and more whimsical options like robes and such.

Brief physical description of the character: Calder is slowly giving up parts of his body and essentially turning into a devil. He's pale with pink/red hair (in earlier references, it's longer, but in recent storylines it's more of an undercut) and optional cracks/red scarring/visible veins on his skin. Make him as cute or as horrifying as you feel comfortable.
Otherwise, he's average build and not terribly tall. He wears primarily navy blues and blacks, scarves, overcoats, that sort of thing.
Suggested environments: Modern/fantastical. City scenes, especially. He's a sniper. Fancy settings and fancy clothes are fun, too!
Anything else we need to know: Calder's references kind of track how he's 'turned' over time. I'd love some more art of him where he's more heavily scarred; there's not really any rhyme or reason to the cracking of his face though, woops. Feel free to take some artistic license with this character if you choose to draw him.

Personality: Usually kind and a listener above a conversationalist. She enjoys social interactions in moderation but prefers to spend time with her animals at home. Enjoys reading and learning new things, but is hesitant to apply this knowledge in practice. She wants to do good but has difficulty making the right decisions, inadvertently making people angry with her
Brief physical description of the character: Pear bodyshape, 5'9", chin length wavy brown hair, round face shape, pale skin, green eyes. Wears comfortable peasant dresses, knits often and loves animals.
Suggested environments: Anything medieval works. In a cozy cabin knitting, taking care of (farm) animals, casting spells etc.
Anything else we need to know: If you draw her knitting, please do me the favor of not drawing her knitting needles pointing downwards. This is the wrong way, but this and this is the right way. I don't care much about what she's knitting, or whether it looks like proper knitting (individual stitches are killer, I know!), but it's physically impossible to knit with needles pointing downwards. So that's the only thing I'd really like attention to be paid to, should you choose to draw her knitting.
