McDonough waited for a few minutes before he left his office. Catrine peeked out of the elevator. She saw the device the Data was kept in sitting on the mayor desk. She silently left the elevator and grabbed it. Once she got back into the elevator they took it back down. "Once we're out, we'll tell the guards we had a meeting with the mayor and asked to use this elevator to get out of the city faster, then we tell them we forgot something in the city." Catrine said.
"Are you kidding me? What if they double check? Being caught in some conspiracy isn't exactly good for ones health." Fal says concerned as he looks down to the guards. One guard watches them come down. "Why're you both there?" He asks having his gun loaded.
"No one's going to know the mayor had a conspiracy other than us. Don't worry about it." Catrin whispered as the Elevator went down. "Oh we had a meeting with the mayor." Catrin said. "We're traders from Quincy. The Mayor of Quincy had us running around starting up trade routes with the other major settlements." Catrin lied.
