John nodded and went for Jessica, he put and arm around her shoulder and his head under her other arm so he could hold his magnum "let's get moving" he said then guided Jessica towards the door and egan moving down the hallway

The ODST decided to stay back incase any more marines or popcorn balls came along, Jessica had one of her SMGs out so she could be of some help to john, Up ahead there was two mores,,, you could only tell because those were UNSC Pants...the upper torso was all yellow and mushy, With arms scrapped down to the bones for arms "John..." She whispered pointing her gun at them "We cant save these men...we need to kill them, They would be better off"

Before Jessica could say anything to John he popped the two Marines full of lead from his magazine and kept moving, his anger had increased at the sight of these 'things' John looked back to the ODST " Stay close don't fall too far back or you'll get left behind" he said heading up a ramp checking the corners

The ODST nodded, He was slightly behind, But he could sprint and get to them in three-five seconds. Jessica then started shooting her SMG at some of the popcorn-like aliens, Which then jumped at Jessica and John, However, They ended up killing themselves on the twos shields "that's a relief, More of them!" She then started shooting at some of the humans covered in this goo, But then Jessica discovered something "John, Those look like grunt parts in that mess! The Covenant must have already landed!"

John nodded and threw Jessica over his shoulder then grabbed the ODST and did the same "cover my back" he said and started running to the exit of the firebase "we need to get out of here fast" he said hopping over a few dead bodies and kicking a flood combat form on the way

outside there was a Pelican being bombarded by What looked like giant clouds of gas filled with large chucks of... BIO-Mass and soon the Pelican crashed, It was quite far out and any survivors were quickly killed and were turned into more of the FLOOD. But there was another Pelican in the air dodging the blasts and was quite high up "Spartans! look!" the ODST pointed to an Elephant "that Elephants com might have enough range to contact that Pelican"

John nodded and made a run for the elephant "it's like hell all over again" he told himself and once inside the elephant he set the ODST and Jessica down and closed all the doors then went to the panel "This is Spartan-117 pelican do you copy? repeat pelican do you copy?" he said making sure there was a strong signal throughout the entire transmission

"This is Pelican AV-14 To Master Chief we do copy, We would like to Evac you but those... those strange turret things are giving us hell! If you can take them both out, We can Evac you and any other survivors" The Pelican Pilot said while dodging the blasts, Jessica then looked to John "Im going to stay here and broadcast a message so anymore survivors can get to the evac zone" She said and limbed to the console "Don't worry John... I promise I will be ok" She said, Smiling under he helm though, It was not a real one. The ODST looked to John "what do you say? I will take the left one, Or shall we both charge in together?" The ODST asked while reloading his Silenced SMG

John looked down "ODST cover Jessica" he said then started heading up the ramp "don't let Jessica get hurt do you understand?" he said as he was going for a machine gun turret on the top of the Elephant which while operating would leave him out in the open although John knew the risk and he was going to take it

The ODST was surprised at his request, But he knew his orders were just as important "aye sir" He then took aim at the Elephant door in case of FLOOD infiltration, Jessica started transmitting the singal


Jessica's voice was then heard on Johns com "I will point out survivors as they come, Just cover them to the best of your abilities. I know we cant save everyone" Jessica sighed, But then three FLOOD combat formed started shooting at John, Two had plasma rifles the other had a Magnum

John took some of the hits and he pointed down at the combat forms and opened fire with the machine turret obliterating them then looked back up to the pelican and started shooting at the projectiles going for it hitting at most half of them making it slightly easier for the pelican to get past

Jessica then spoke "John, four marines are heading out of the fire base! try and escort them to the Elephant!" no sooner than Jessica finished did the marines run out but... One of the flood forms was waiting and infected one of the marines right away "...John I think what ever these things are, they are tapping into are coms using the marines they infect!"

John pointed the machine gun turret at the marines and began shooting at the infected one and all the spores "the small popcorns are called spores" he said over his comm focusing on keeping the marines alive "ODST open the door for them now!" he said shooting all the spores around the marines and any combat forms he could see as well

The ODST opened the door and jumped out, and ran out slightly so he could get a good angle, He began shooting spores and combat forms and soon the marines jumped in, then so did the ODST "Marines are inside sir!, Looks like they are from Epsilon fireteam" The ODST said reloading

Then all of a sudden, A loud creek of metal was heard behind John, Then the Elephants defensive Turret came out "Though you could use a hand Jessica said controlling the turret from inside and started shooting down flood in an attempt to help John. And there was ALOT of FLOOD coming

John nodded "thanks Jessica" he said shooting all the spores he saw leaving the combat forms for the big cannon "Jessica aim for the cloud!" he said noticing it wasn't a normal cloud, but a flood ship

Jessica took aim and shot down the FLOOD ship, but not before the Flood ship shot the Pelican, not enough to destroy it but enough to make it land near the Elephant, then a Green Spartan jumped out and looked a lot like John but with red stripes along his armor and he had a rocket launcher, This was Spartan Douglas-042, Part of the Famous OMEGA team. "Whats the Situation... Wait..." He looked at John, "Heh... Your the Master Chief, Well maybe we aren't screwed after all" Douglas said blowing up groups of combat forms "Pelican just needs to have that strange stuff taking out of the engines, Wont take too long"

John then got off the machine gun turret "whatever you do, don't get into trouble Jessica, this is worse than what could have been seen on reach" he said then jumped of the elephant and ran to the front of the elephant shooting the flood with his assault rifle moving forward making a cleaner path for extra marines to get through.

Douglas had a special four barrel rocket launcher and began blowing up large masses of FLOOD that were grouping, Then all of a sudden a Short sword was flying down "Holy hell! John lock your armor!" Douglas yelled using armor lock

Whether or not John used armor lock or was able to hide, The short sword bombed one of the FLOOD BIO Turrets and blew it sky high

John armor locked and once the bomber passed over he got back up moving forward continuously shooting every flood he could see "Douglas is that pelican clean yet?!" he asked stopping where he was maknig a quick reload and shooting more flood

Douglas put his hand to his helmet "Almost, Another minute or two the pilot says and then we will be airborne! Cover me" Douglas then reloaded and started charging the flood and started blowing up all the flood in front of him, however flood were slowly approaching him from the sides "Last time we saw these things there were at least these robot things to help!" He yelled out
