pan finally stopped playing and then went over over to a chair to sit down
Light could only nodd in agreement at Wyverian's words about hunting. "But it's never said for sure, is it? Our lakeside home was abandoned for the longest time when we first settled there. Perhaps the tide will guide us back there someday." at his next words she could not help but laugh. "It's just legit, tricks and wits are like good jokes - they get less effective when the mechanics are explained!"
Rhens sat up from his chair, having fallen asleep for a spell during the party. He looked about and it seemed as though most were dancing. Not really his forte so he remained seated, watching as the festival carried out. "Ah, I fell asleep again." He wandered about the room, avoiding the congregation of those dancing and preferring to remain on the sidelines for the moment.
Having had their fill of fish, Elliot stood back up and stretched, wondering what to do next. Seeing Pan sitting down, a devious grin crossed their face, and they scurried over and leapt onto Pan's lap, gazing up at him with a goofy mischievous grin.
"I'd be happy to."
With the host's attention shifting to others, the fiddler pulled his violin back out and began playing once more. Rather than simple notes to supplement a focus on words as before, this time he showed more of his true skill. The melody would still be some fair work for him, but the cheery music was now replaced by something a little more mellow and relaxed for anyone who cared to dance.

"That they are, friend," the Wyverian replied, a smile reaching their red eyes. "I wouldn't blame you for your desire to return home either. I feel much the same. We just have to keep carrying on, you know?" Then, their eyes flicker. "Ah, this might be where people mention a 'lack of 'manners', maybe. I don't have a name I can put to a face yet, do I?"
The Duchess swayed, enjoying the new, calmer music. Not that she hadn't enjoyed pan's guitar, of course, she just enjoyed this new music in a different way. For now, she stands back a bit, surveying her guests with something like pride and contentment as they seem to be interacting with one another fairly naturally.
Rhens ended up near the Duchess. "Even with the turbulence tonight, the party has not waned in the enjoyment it brings Duchess." He said softly, looking over the dancing individuals.
"Just like with card games, keep playing one hans after another and it ain't over until it's over", she said, still an echo of laught in her voice. "And you're right, I have been a rude partner in crime to not even get introductions out!" She joked. "Light, Light Raygun, Cris - take the one you like best abd roll with it, they all ring true to me. Tonight especially, when I brushed my old Light Raygun act after so long."
pan smiled and then ended up going to sleep in the chair
Despite coming very, very late, the four-armed purple menace arrived rather calmly. She wore a flowing white robe-like satin dress and very long white gloves... savor the sight, because she'd never wear gloves on any other occasion. Her mask was covered in silver glitter, and had eyes like the greek "comedy" mask. She sashayed over to the crowed... this was one of the few times where she was not out to infect.
The female nodded to the Dutchess, “with my work I’m lucky to be here at all…!” She said and clapped her hands a little and put them in her lap with a sigh
Well so much for mischief! Still... it was a comfortable enough place to relax. Elliot curled up on Pan's lap. Still very much awake, just relaxing as they waited to see if anything else of interest would happen.
Wandering looks at Wendy, "How are you ma'am"
The Duchess cast an eye toward the magic white rose that they had saved with so much trouble earlier in the day. It was growing late in the night, and the flower was beginning to gently wilt. There would only be a few more hours of merriment this year, before she could no longer sustain the spell. But all good things must eventually come to an end, and in the meanwhile, she would savor every remaining moment that they had together. "I find that a little bit of trouble sometimes improves a party," she says with an air of very lightly joking to Rhen. To Wendy, she said, "Oh? What do you do, if you care to share?"
"... what a party. Looks like we've got a good crowd going on here, huh? I regret coming here so late! I don't recognize a single one of you!" She interrupted, her mischievous voice ringing clearly.
She almost tripped on her dress. You can tell she doesn't wear them often.

She smiled softly, she was not really used to attention like this but loved it, she got up and sighed “I’m a maid..” she said and bowed down a little, crossing her legs as she did
Wander walks back a bit, "You would be correct ma'am."
"Ah, a very challenging job indeed. We'll have to see that we cram as much fun into what remains of the evening as possible, so that when you must go back to work, you return filled to the brim with joyful memories to sustain you." The Duchess says to Wendy, and then turns to T Mori. "Ah, but I recognize you: You're the guest that was to arrive just at this time! And here you are! How perfect!"
“ I will be more then happy to help clean up after the Masquerade!” She said and smiled “and I’ll do it with no charge” she added
