Hey everybody!
First time on this site but this isn't my first RP experience. I've been rping for a very long time. Got my start doing prose, forum style rps back on a little site called Fantasy Gathering, which I think is now gone. Then after a long hiatus from creative writing I got introduced by some friends to some Dreamwitdh game rps doing canon characters. Doing canon characters does bring a little bit of challenge and fun putting yourself in that character mindset.
But ultimately I'm most comfortable working with my own original characters which I miss doing so much. I have been looking for a good outlet to try to make new rp buddies who share my interests. I have done pretty much anything and everything under the sun in terms of genres. I do have a soft spot for fantasy and scifi but I'm open to everything!
Not sure what else to say without feeling like I'm rambling on forever about all the different story ideas or world settings I have floating around in me head

But yeah! Again, looking to make new friends. I'm a little nervous since I haven't looked for new rp buddies in awhile.

Thanks for all the welcomes everyone ^^ I haven't gotten a good look around to see how things are setup. Each place I've done rp had different formats.
Oh don't worry, it would appear we are the same age haha. So you run a game, is that what I'm understanding? I've done a few Dreamwidth games over there.

As for rp formats, on the RPR there's certain forums where you can have public roleplay threads such as the General RP, Fantasy and Sci-fi forums. There's also forum roleplay in groups as well, but a lot of people tend to roleplay in PM's.

I would of course have to do more reading and look deeper in the lore of the setting, but like I mention before, I'm a sucker for fantasy.
