His deep blue eyes followed Macy with a warmth that could melt the cold right out of the air, a grin slow and sure tugging at his mouth. “C’mere, darlin’. Don’t let me do all the leanin’ by myself.”

The angel had been perched on the head of a gargoyle overlooking the gothic cathedral. He spotted a nun checking out a cowboy and had to make an effort not to bellow out a thunderous, Yee Haw, at the scene. The fact that a nun would go anywhere near a dating opportunity seemed odd and ill placed to the winged conundrum. He watched with bated breath as the nun, despite her clear curiosity, passed the cowboy without a word.
It wasn't his place to provide guidance - he was no messenger of God. On the flip side, it wasn't his place to corrupt, either. He was an earthbound angel with a very specific purpose. God had not called him into service just yet, so he spent his days watching, observing, and being mildly mischievous when the mood struck him.
He continued to watch the nun. The way she walked made it seem like she had the holy spirit stuck up her... Well, she looked uptight. Cassiel didn't have time for uptight people. Plus, she a freaking Nun! Trying to date a nun would be... He shivered and shook his head.

Kyria blinked slowly, letting the soft glow in her eyes deepen as she tilted her head and watched him.
“Oof. That’s a lot of angel angst for one man to carry.” She smirked, wings half-flaring behind her like a subtle dare. “You sure we didn’t bump into each other at a fall-from-grace mixer?”
She took a step forward, just enough to make the air taste like summer storm.
“You’ve got mystery, sure. Sad eyes, monster ink, broody ‘don’t-love-me-I’m-dangerous’ energy l…and baby, that works for a lot of girls. Just not the ones with wings.”
She leaned in, voice lowering into a velvet hum.
“But for the record?” A playful spark danced across her fingertips. “I don’t dodge bullets. I redirect them.”
