So, yeah, that's just the mandatory post to introduce myself. My name's Michael, I'm 28, and I like to RP... okay bye.

Brain: No "Butts". *Sigh* I'll handle this, as I always do. Jeez, why I didn't apply for that position as a kidney back in the days...

So yeah, let's start this again, shall we?!
*A-hem* Well, hello there, beautiful community. My... owner name's Michael, he's a 28 Italian roleplayer who stumbled upon this site while searching for... well, inspiration for new RP adventures (totally not other things). He's a steady roleplayer since he was ten years old, but his major experience was into Tabletop settings; on the web, he practised mostly on Discord Servers and on other Italian forums (back in the past).
His passions are RP (duuuuh), Gaming and painting miniatures (90% of the time models coming from the Warhammer 40k world). He also has other hobbies (plenty of them, actually), but we will get to it in the future... perhaps.

About his RL and his schedule... he's now waiting for a response to a new employer (for a position of Junior NeuroMarketing Specialist), so his "response" time will, most probably, change if he finally gets the job.

Got everything? Let me check the list... Oh, right, almost forgot that one.
Speaking about RP preferences, he's open to a lot of things, but his favourite criteria are:

- Romance (mxf) with\without ERP included
- Magical settings (In modern or fantasy society)
- Long sentences are strongly suggested (he tends to write a lot, with a response every 1 or 2 days)

And speaking about questions, I (yes, the brain, the one who actually keeps all this thing alive) do have one:

- I tried searching in your guidelines and help section, but I couldn't find anything about using "Real" characters for RP. My first creation, as you can see, is using the Norse beast Fenris, and I would infringe any rules by using something coming... well, from the RL should we say?

I would very much love to see your painted minis! I dabble in it too from time to time. I even have a WFB beastman army (despite not really enjoying the game--I just love the hobby aspect). What do you play?

As for your question about RPing real life stuff: we do have a rule against RPing real people, like real-world Youtube personalities or musicians. Including real people in minor roles is fine, as is including real places, brands, etc. I hope that answers your question! If not, feel free to PM me and I'll be happy to explain in more detail.

Thanks for the clarification: no, my idea was to use, perhaps, established fictional character like one of the Gods in the Norse Mythology, but no one actually real (like Donald Trump, Cristiano Rolando or George Clooney).

About my hobby aspect... I stopped playing years ago due to GW changing the rules every time I finished painting an army. Now I just do it for the hobby aspect of painting, sculpting and the such. While I do not have a fixed choice of minis, I'm focused right now on the miniatures coming from Warhammer: Conquest (meaning Speis Marine and Death Guard), with some exception from time to time (for example, right now I'm focused on the Scoundrel from Gloomhaven).

For the starters, I have an advice! When you make Looking for Roleplay topic, I suggest being as detailed as you possibly can be about yourself as a writer, your style, your preferences and limits, and also what you in general look for in writing partners. This is the best technique for you to find the most compatible partners.

This is a great site, everyone is very friendly and helpful here, so don't be afraid to ask for help or advice at any point, we've got a wonderful community of people who would be more than happy to help. But here's a few tips on getting started:

- If you're looking to post a looking for roleplay post: go here. We also have a looking for adult roleplays forum, but you will need to go into your settings to be able to view that if you are 18+.
- Always make sure you address what kind of roleplay themes and writer styles you are looking for when making a LF RPs post. This prevents any misunderstandings.
- Don't be afraid to tell people if you can't respond or don't want to respond to a roleplay any more. Whether it's due to problems IRL or just a lack of motivation, we'd prefer to be told you'd like to stop the RP rather than being ghosted.

Now for some obligatory tips: There are plenty of characters to browse through, and the 'Looking for RP' section is also great to check ads or post your own. That said, welcome once again and I hope you enjoy your time with us!

Heya, welcome to RPR. You'll find lots of awesome people, places, things, verbs, adjectives, nouns.... you name it! Here are a few things that may help you to get started, some stated by others, some not.

Find RP: is a great way to look for ads other players have put up looking for other players to join in and collab in a game that already has some seed of a plot.

LFRP: Is much the same as Find RP, but you can put up your own ad that can be seen by anyone in the applicable filters.

In both cases you can use filters to find exactly what you are looking for for your optimal RP experience. Also, don't forget about GROUPS, where you can find whole worlds to RP in with other people.
