I can't tell if this is the correct thread to put this in - but it's probably the most suitable for now.
TL;DR - I'm returning from a very long hiatus, so probably no one of the people I used to RP is here, which is why I'm making this introduction post again. Hi

I'm Weronika (Nika or Niki for short), I'm 26 and living and studying in Poland - and I hope to start taking part in roleplays here again soon. I'm excited to meet all of you!

I've made this account... A good many years ago. I can't even tell how long it's been. I actually probably would have forgotten about it completely if not for de-cluttering my e-mail inbox, and finding a really old email regarding an old friend request that has long since been out of commission - clicking the link just brings me to a 404 error site.

However it has brought a whirlwind of memories back. Times of grief, loneliness, anger, confusion... But also happiness, curiosity, excitement, and most of all - imagination.

Thanks to therapy - lots of it, really - I've since realized that this site as many others were, to me, really unhealthy coping mechanisms. However, I don't want it to end that way. I don't want to look back at this place and remember it as just an escapism method. After all, I've made a lot of wonderful memories here. And so, after a lot of thought, I've decided to come back - reactivate my account and get back to one of my favorite acitivies: writing with like-minded people.

And so... Let me properly introduce myself - to all those who might remember someone like this flitted around the forums a few years ago, and to those who I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet - nice to meet you, or see you again

My name is Weronika, though I usually go by Nika, or Niki, and I'm 26 years old. I'm Polish, living in Poland, and graduating Veterinary Medicine in March (it still feels so surreal). I work part-time in the veterinary inspection - a government position, meant to control and monitor animal diseases that may be harmful to society or humans (think Bird Flu, Swine Flu, Salmonella, etc.).

In my free time - which I currently don't have a lot of - I usually laze in front of the TV, play games, read books, or meet up with IRL friends. And, of course, writing - usually for myself, the act of writing on it's own brings me pleasure, so while I used to post my works, I now am content with just working on my little projects in spare time for my own enjoyment.

Because I'm trying to stay more in touch with the real world rather than the online one, I don't think I'll be active very frequently - maybe a few times a week. Because while I feel very excited to be re-starting the roleplaying adventure, and might even find the time to log in daily for the first week or so, I definitely won't be able to keep it up with my current hectic schedule. So I'll be mostly looking for roleplaying partnerd amongst those who don't mind slow replies

I haven't yet created "new" characters - all the ones on my profile are from times long gone now. However, I've decided not to delete them. As my experiences, they're a part of my past. I probably won't be using them in any roleplays, but I like the idea of them staying here as a testament to my mental journey.

To all of you who have read all that and are now here - I thank you for your time. I hope you have a wonderful day, and I can't wait to meet each and every one of you.
