I haven't roleplayed in a few years, but with how things are IRL, and roll20 only having so many free tables I could join that actually last past a first session, I went to google looking for active RP communities and here I am.
I love slice of life stuff with hints of magic, slow burn romance. College settings, emotional scenes, every shojo cliche. (Add monsters, the supernatural or superpowers and I'm hooked.) Speaking of shojo... any anime recommendations?
I'm not really sure where to start on finding partners, or what to put on my characters pages, actually... So if anyone has any pointers on where to look and how to be active here, would be much appreciated!

I recommend checking out this guide for awesome character profiles, as well as checking out other people's character profiles to get an idea of what information you can put on yours.
You can also start looking for RP partner by using the Find RP link at the top of the page!

Welcome to RPR, I am Salazar and it's lovely to meet you! This is a great site, everyone is very friendly and helpful here, so don't be afraid to ask for help or advice at any point, we've got a wonderful community of people who would be more than happy to help. But here's a few tips on getting started:- If you're looking to post a looking for roleplay post: go here. We also have a looking for adult roleplays forum, but you will need to go into your settings to be able to view that if you are 18+.
- Always make sure you address what kind of roleplay themes and writer styles you are looking for when making a LF RPs post. This prevents any misunderstandings.
- Don't be afraid to tell people if you can't respond or don't want to respond to a roleplay any more. Whether it's due to problems IRL or just a lack of motivation, we'd prefer to be told you'd like to stop the RP rather than being ghosted.
That's all from me for now, but I do hope you'll start some amazing RPs and make some awesome friends on this site!

Find RP: Is a great way to look for ads other players have put up looking for other players to join in and collab in a game that already has some seed of a plot.
LFRP: Is much the same as Find RP, but you can put up your own ad that can be seen by anyone in the applicable filters.
In both cases you can use filters to find exactly what you are looking for for your optimal RP experience. Also, don't forget about GROUPS, where you can find whole worlds to RP in with other people instead of having to make your own.

To get started, using the 'Looking for RP' is a great way to find or post ads.
As for character profiles, there's plenty of great ones to look through under the community tab's 'Characters' section, and help with formatting the profiles in BBCode can be found here. We're also mostly all friendly, so feel free to ask or reach out to a moderator if you have any questions! Best wishes; and welcome, welcome, welcome!

Ooooooiiiieee, your introduction opening is so cute! hehe! I also love meet-cutes and magical tropes, AUs and shojo things! As for shoujo (shojo?) recs, I love... uh... The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya! And Your Lie in April was really good too. So was Death Parade. Uh, I haven't read that many shoujo novels, besides a few .//hack stories, but I've read plenty of manga! I really love Skip Beat, and it's ongoing and exciting and adventurous and really, really funny. Hehe. Uh, Imadoki is great as far as I've read... That's only a couple of volumes, if that, but it's really cute and the author has a nice sense of characters, I think. Uh, I've heard Nisekoi is good. I haven't read it yet, though. The Ancient Magus' Bride is amaaazing so far, I really like it! I don't know what you've watched/read already, haha. I've seen a little of BNHA, which is shonen I know but the fanfiction can be cool! Haha! And besides that, Yona of the Dawn looks great. Oh! Uta no Prince Sama is good! And also Maid Sama! They're unrelated, just both shojo. Hahaha. Errrm... That's all I can think of at the moment, unless you have a thing for either BL or GL. Which is cool. You can message me. 
Ah, let's see. The site! It's great! I love it. It had a Help section with handy links, and Troubleshooting, and Help Forums, for if you really need assistance. There are also moderators! They're very nice, so far as my experience goes. The Mod Request buttons are even easier to find now, since a newish update recently. Kim is very focused! hehe! Um, there's also a Bug Report feature, which you may have noticed, and you can use that to... Well... Report bugs, if you see any. That includes stuff like glitches, weird random errors, funkyspeak like weird gibberish where it shouldn't be, or even a typo in the shop. Like one of my accolades. 
Ah, also there are Groups! Those are fantastic! I have one, actually two, but neither of them are entirely built yet. Still, if you wanted to join one, feel totally free. Hehe. Err, also. forums. Threads. Those are things, that exist. I'm pretty sure I saw you in the Event threads, a little bit, so I suppose you've already got all that figured out. Anyway! I hope this whole post hasn't been for naught!
