Let me start by saying I hope that everyone who puts their eyes on my introduction here is having a good day, or evening, or whatnot.
You can call me Wren. I go by several names, but I think this time I’ll warm up to Wren. . .
I’m still poking my way around the site and getting characters uploaded. I have a long way to go to feel any sense of completion, but I think I’m going to like it in this community.
I’ve been involved with roleplaying off and on for well over 10 years. Less so with tabletop RPGs, but my small experience with those has been just as important to me. (I do GM for my friends when there’s a chance, love me some homebrew).
My journey started out on an old Proboards, some group RP I was cajoled into and being of a genre I’m no longer fond of (wasn’t a very magical setting)— still, I began to feel nostalgic for that classic forum atmosphere.
And here I am.
I find myself exclusive to the fantasy genre. Loving adventures and easy-going slice-of-life plots equally. Both historical and modern. I’m a bit of a sap, too, when using certain characters. Though, you won’t find me taking anything to an explicit level. Fight scenes and language can be as tough as ever, but— I’m squeamish with more intimate subjects of romance.
Most of my characters are essentially “elves”— of my own interpreting. I’ve got a handful of automatons. Even a few animals. Yet, never “plain” humans. Not quite my thing, as its turned out. (I’m more than happy to play against humans).
Anyway, I think I’ll be most active at the end of my day when I have some spare time. Maybe I’ll get myself into some group RPs like my olden days?
I’ve also thought of striking up a modern slice-of-life with someone, if I can find a good match. :^)
Such remains to be seen.

It's very nice to see another experienced writer about who doesn't feel the need to carry romantic relationships into the explicit. It can be a struggle to find decent partners within those parameters, but allow me to assure you that they do exist.
