Heyo! My name is Karma (28, she/her) and it has been a very long time since I've roleplayed on a forum, wow.
I've been roleplaying for a really long time and I do remember a time when RP was more commonly a forum activity, particularly with groups, so I felt really nostalgic when I came across the site from seeing someone mention it. For a while now I've mostly RPed via Discord and while I still do with close friends, I've missed the more low-pressure setting of forum roleplayers.
It allows for longer posts, less urgency to hurry up and reply, and generally a little more privacy that big Discord servers really don't provide.
As for about me, I don't have any characters posted yet since slots are limited here and I want to choose carefully so that I pick characters that are the most appropriate / likely to get use in this community. I could probably fill all 10 slots just with my usual suspects that I consider for each RP group if I wasn't being careful about it!
But as for what to expect:
I haven't found a group yet that I'm especially interested in joining so I may end up making a character and trying out the public forum first. We'll see! Hopefully you'll see me around some more!

Villainous / morally gray characters. Ranges from normal folks with a few bad habits to your serial killer types.
Mainly humans but also some monster folks! I love a good vampire roleplay.
Original Art references since I draw all of my own characters (mentioning this because while browsing I saw some groups require photo faceclaims)
Horror settings, slice of life, sometimes a mix of the two. Honestly I love "a day in the life of" type themes mixed with more outlandish settings.
I haven't found a group yet that I'm especially interested in joining so I may end up making a character and trying out the public forum first. We'll see! Hopefully you'll see me around some more!

KarmaLarma is a very cute username -- just had to start out with that. And welcome to RPR. You stated the EXACT reason why I love it here the most -- the lack of pressure, the whole not having to have any sense of urgency, the privacy, the get-to-it-when-you-get-to-it, etc. It is for someone like me who suffers all kinds of anxiety, the best method of enjoying my hobby without destroying my love and motivation for it. It's enjoyable in RPR because of how chill it is and that it's not incredibly fast-paced, so for a working sod like me, it's perfect in more ways than one.
You mentioned the genre, "A day in the life of..." with fun scenarios added on -- well, that's one of mine actually! I enjoy those too as well as the slice-of-life scenarios because I'm plain and vanilla and lead a busy, boisterous enough life that role-playing something chiller than what I go through is heckin' pleasant. Now that's not to say I don't have my fair share of chaos -- I'm a villain player myself, but I tend toward canons.
