Hello all!
I've been searching for a safe haven to RP for some time now and finally stumbled here. Lately I've tried to post on other sites for RP search but found it hard to navigate some of the newer generations styles and tools (discord and such) and most are mainly looking for explicit content, which personally isn't what I ever write.
I hail from the days of yahoo! chat groups and MSN groups for the RP fix. I love world building and deep backstories. I write as an experience to further develop our characters. I write more of a story format than random back and forth and slow burn/long term RPs are my jam.
I always appreciate when someone is able to help participate back and add to the story, not just react to what I've written. I do write in paragraph format, third person and enjoy high fantasy to fantasy-modern with OCs. I usually roleplay with a select few people I have grown with online but life and family have slowed it to a halt. I've been out of the game so long that there's new terms I'm not even aware of and rules, perhaps? I have obligations outside of my writing, so repsonces may not be daily. My grammar is not perfect but I do try to revise and catch my typos.

I know you've gotten quite a few replies, but ah! Hello!! I'm glad you found RPR! This place is great and filled with lots of people who want to roleplay many different things! You will definitely be able to find rp partners who want to indulge in stories with more than just explicit scenes. I find most of us also are not able to get on every day-- especially with the world continually throwing us crazy curveballs! So no pressure on that! π
I'm a fellow fantasy-modern lover (especially when fantasy and soft sci-fi are squished together!) and I thought it would be sort of rare to find people who liked that, but I have found that there are more of us out there then I realized. Wahoo!π

Things have only gotten better since then it seems, and RPR is such a fun reminder of that.

So what were your font, color, and action indicator choices back in the olden days?
I was 11 so initially, I went with comic sans, as one does in 2002. Eye-burning pink, orange, and dark red. Eventually, I changed to Arial narrow 8pt, which makes 31-year-old me grimace to think about reading! -=This was how I made characters do things=- because *This one was hard to see* and ::this one gave me a headache::. I feel very ancient nowhaha. Actually instead of a haha, have this throwback. ^-^ Owo O_O~!
