    As a character, Raul is a thoroughbred of creativity and authenticity. The character oozes a sense of deep history and realism. Despite that the werewolf trop has been overdone for years, Raul rises above and beyond the pack. He's believable, intimidating, and powerful. He is far more than just his story being that he is a werewolf, which is rare as far as the trope goes.
