I'm open to new RPs! This thread serves as a sort of hub thread for ideas and themes I'm open to. Including fully fleshed out ideas I've had in the past and want to try again, thoughts that I haven't put full detail to and general themes for those who like my characters, but aren't interested in any ideas I've put out.
I guess you could call this a self-advertisement thread.
So the variety of contrasting individuals listed here further down the thread are my characters. I see RP as a way to escape from the shackles of adulthood, hence why most of the characters are kids and the adults aren't typical humans. If you have a kiddo who needs an adventuring companion or an older character who works well with a younger sidekick, I have plenty of options; as well as a couple of adult characters who serve to fit well into a sidekick role.

NOTE: I only tend to enjoy RPs that average 2 or more paragraphs per post. Minimum of one paragraph a post unless there is a very good reason for less. I'm open to a large range of themes, genres and settings. I can come up with something more specific if necessary after characters on both/all sides are decided. I can generally come up with something quite quickly. I do not do romance or sexual themes.
Partners aged 16+ Are preferred. I'm open to discussion with partners 1 year younger providing their maturity, but due to age gap reasons and the comfort levels involved, that's where I draw the line.
Please include some information in your post regarding what you're looking for if you're replying to this thread. It saves a lot of time. I will ignore any post that simply says something like 'hello' and will not respond to any requests for PMs without the aforementioned info.

Riik
The genderless reptile
A small genderless reptile hybrid with strong instincts and a very timid disposition. Though he appears 7 years old and has the general biology of a 10-year-old, Riik's age is much less straightforward on account of his unusual origins.
With the possibility of dark magic at his disposal, or a natural talent for piloting, Riik has a use in both fantasy and sci-fi scenarios. But it's his superhuman agility that really stands out, albeit at a cost of a severely hampered physical strength.

The cold-loving monkey boy
This small 12-year-old boy with snow-white hair fights fiercely for his moral views. Though he might seem cold and overly serious on the surface, Kiro is in fact quite caring and protective of those who he sees as his allies.
Whether in his more simian form, his mutant-human anatomy or as a typical real-world human, Kiro's technical skills make him a suitable candidate for any RP from fantasy to sci-fi to real life. Just watch out for his ice magic.

Though he is incapable of speaking most humanly-pronounceable languages, he understands a number of key tongues important to the galactic stage. As a pacifist, not only does Ara lack combat experience, he is fairly cowardly. Despite this, he is fully capable of ripping the limbs off a human and tearing other beings to shreds with his claws.
As a Star Wars OC and member of a Star-Wars-specific species, using Ara outside of this one setting might be a stretch; but he can work for practically any point in the main established Star Wars timeline. On account of personal knowledge and preference, he is designed primarily in mind for the Legends continuity. Though I can use him in Disney canon Star Wars, expect mistakes and significantly less in-depth understanding of the expanded lore.

An unageing being created from magic, Cysgod's cute imp-like appearance disguises an unknown potential of powerful magic. Though fully sapient, Cysgod struggles with a lot of human concepts, making their behaviour somewhat animal-like and comparable to that of an ape. Despite that, this four-armed, fur-covered being knows more than it lets on.
Though Cysgod is centred around fantasy themes and favours the presence of magic in an RP, they can also be treated like an alien being or science experiment, thus making them fairly flexible on setting. They also have no default backstory, making them open toward practically any plot.

As a four-armed rogue, Deril could well fit into any kind of non-real-world scenarios; but can easily be reduced to having two arms for a more realistic RP. He makes for an interesting and upbeat partner; but be warned of his tendency to steal any object that catches his eye. Deril also has a naga form for more monster-esque RPs.

Though still young, Gentle-Heart has learned enough to be fairly self-sufficient.
This cuddly alien is designed heavily for sci-fi RPs, but can also work for fantasy and supernatural. Their abilities lie in their empathy and diplomatic training; though they can also fly a small space craft with moderate skill.

His appearance is of a typical ordinary red panda - except he has the intelligence of a human and the capacity to talk. He is friendly, cheerful and generally mild-mannered; and is always looking to make new acquaintances.
Hóng typically lacks in special abilities, and his abilities mean that he doesn't exactly fit into a true-to-life real world scenario. Despite that, he is flexible for most settings and can fit just fine into anything from fantasy to sci-fi. He could make a great friend, pet or sidekick.

Ixon is a 48-year-old teacher of the ways of hunting, archery and general forest combat. To a human, he has lived to a level of maturity befitting of his status as a decorated veteran and respected teacher. To another elf, he is surprisingly young - still the equivalent of someone in their early 20s. He is skilled with the shortbow and shortsword and is particularly good at handling children due to his experience teaching them. Because his non-teaching duties have now become limited to special asignments, he generally has more freedom than most people in his structured society. If his city believes it is under threat from something outside of their forest, Ixon would be the first they would send to investigate.
As a Wood Elf, Ixon works best in fantasy settings, though his society is designed to mirror the technology level of the setting, so can work with sci-fi as well. Ixon's skills as an archer and ranger are fairly advanced and make him more than an adiquate adventuring companion to other heroes.

Kyricx
The nature-loving wood elf
An 11-year-old boy at one with nature. Despite his love of the great outdoors, he also has an interest in firearms, especially around his own unique self-made pistols, which combined with his ability to tell where he is aiming weapons without having to look, makes him a formidable gunslinger.
Canonically a wood elf with decent agility and dexterity, Kyricx fits well into fantasy. His human variation - Cynw - is almost as agile, albeit within human levels of normality.

Brought up as a devout follower of the angel god Michael, Mickel spent his early childhood working at the temple, training to be a warrior priest. Though cheerful, kind and caring, the 11 year old winged boy is fairly closed-minded when it comes to religion and has inherited his race's dislike for Abrahamic faiths and their misconceptions that his people are somehow servants of their God.
Suitable for both real-world and fantasy settings, Mickel can generally look after him self under combat conditions, at least when his wings are not injured; though he is still a kid and has no other physical advantages aside from flight. When magic is present in an RP, he has access to divine powers due to his role as a budding cleric.

The determined moogle pilot
A moogle from Ivalice with a penchant for piloting airships - or at least those designed in a manner that allows a moogle to operate them in the first place; Solas is a helpful individual, though scatterbrained at times and easily distracted. Outwardly, he tends to act proud and independent, but underneath, he secretly craves cuddles and being coddled. Though he has a small amount of combat expertise, his experience in battle is extremely limited and thus he shouldn't be relied on.
A few years out from adulthood, this adolescent moogle is designed specifically for the Ivalice setting of Final Fantasy XII and the Final Fantasy Tactics series, though he can fit into any other fantasy or steampunk setting that allows for species from pre-existing settings.

They can - to a basic extent - 'see' through touch and 'smell' through taste. Despite this, the young creature is generally quite an ordinary child... so long as they're not hungry and the likelihood of getting food any time soon is low. Strong instincts generally means you better keep this one well fed if you don't want to be their next meal.
T'joa doesn't have any heroic or especially stand-out abilities beyond their racial quirks, but they're friendly and cuddly enough to make a good companion to another of their age, so long as communication is viable.

Tym
The lazy nerd
Born without a left hand, this lazy nerd of a 13-year-old boy loves to read books. Learning is his passion, and everything else in life is a distraction to him. That being said, he still likes to make new friends; after all, new friends means new experiences, which means more learning.
Though in most genres Tym is fairly powerless and not hugely reliable, fantasy is where he truly shines. A wizard with exceptional potential, learning spells is an especially strong hobby of his.

Hello! I see you're open to apocalypse roleplays? I LOVE apocalypse roleplays... My most favorite theme though is from a video game called "The Last of Us" and it is entirely based on apocalypse. It's a lot to explain, however, it is an amazing game, amazing environment, thrilling - scary lol - and fun!

Oh, also, my characters are shapeshifters and I was wondering if you'd be cool if I used Viseria for this as I've really been wanting to get her in more roleplays recently! Plus, she does well in these types of themes

The Last of Us apocalypse link
Never played The Last of Us. Not really my style of game (I'm more of an open-world/racer/strategy/space-simulation fan), and I don't really do much console gaming. Of course, that's not to say I'm opposed to the story themes of The Last of Us... after all I've played the heck out of Fallout 3. That being said, I don't typically enjoy RPing in pre-established settings I have little to no experience with.
I wouldn't mind an RP with similar themes as The Last of Us, but I'm afraid I'm not really up for RPing within the exact setting. I'm not willing to put enough time into researching the game to be able to stay in the lore, because I'm not interested enough in it.
